Rourkela, 08/02/2025: In a continued effort to enhance workplace safety, the Steel Safety Training Center at SAIL Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has conducted a specialized training program for 44 workers from various departments. The initiative focused on improving safety awareness and operational efficiency, covering topics such as general workplace safety, proper maintenance of waste-handling machines, and safe practices for self-combustion machinery.
The training was led by SR Gochrayat from the Regional Directorate of DTNBID under the Ministry of Labor and Employment, along with Bhaktihari Mohapatra, a Safety Lecturer from the Western region. Upon successful completion, participants received DTNBIW certificates, recognizing their enhanced competency in safety measures.
Organized by the HR CLC Collective, with coordination from Rajeev Mukherjee, Senior Editor of the ECG RCLC Section, the program aligns with RSP’s broader commitment to fostering a safer work environment. Additionally, the Steel Safety Training Center plays a crucial role in equipping migrant workers and local employees with essential skills to reduce workplace hazards.
This initiative underscores RSP’s dedication to prioritizing employee well-being and ensuring safer industrial operations.
