BHUBANESWAR: In a resolute move towards smarter and sustainable urbanization, the Government of Odisha remains committed to its “Viksit Odisha@2036” vision. Principal Secretary Usha Padhee chaired the 21st Dashboard Meeting today, emphasizing the empowerment of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to drive impactful projects within specified timelines.
During the meeting, the critical role of ULBs in propelling urban development was underscored. Strategies to enhance their project execution capabilities were deliberated, contributing to the state’s broader vision of sustainable urbanization.
Senior officials were tasked with ensuring ULBs provide regular weekly progress updates, a measure designed to maintain momentum and accountability in project implementation, adhering strictly to set timelines.
The importance of selecting and implementing projects with a significant positive impact on urban living conditions, infrastructure, and sustainability was also highlighted.
