Jharsuguda, 19/02/2025: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s leading aluminium producer, has successfully organized a free eye test camp for drivers in Jharsuguda, Odisha, in collaboration with Trilochan Netralaya. This initiative is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to prioritize driver welfare and ensure safer driving conditions.
The camp provided free eye screenings for 700 drivers, and those who required corrective measures were given prescription glasses at no cost. The program aims to extend its reach to 9,000 drivers, ensuring that they have the necessary optical support for their daily responsibilities.
Sunil Gupta, Chief Operating Officer of Vedanta Aluminium, emphasized the company’s commitment to safety: “Our drivers play a crucial role in our operations, and their well-being is of utmost importance. Clear vision not only improves their efficiency but also helps reduce road risks and accidents.”
Expressing his gratitude, Bajrang, a driver who benefited from the camp, said, “I am truly thankful to Vedanta for organizing this eye test. It’s comforting to know that the company is looking after our health and safety as well.”
