Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a major contract from Hindalco to build a new alumina refinery in Odisha with a capacity of 850 KTPA (kilo tonne per annum). This project, awarded to L&T’s Minerals & Metals (M&M) business, strengthens the company’s position in the industrial sector. According to L&T, a large order falls between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore.
L&T will handle all aspects of the project, including engineering, manufacturing, supply, construction, and installation. The company will work with top technology providers to ensure the refinery uses advanced processes. This project reinforces L&T’s role in developing important industrial infrastructure in India.
