Sijimali (Rayagada, Odisha), December 13, 2024: Continuing its dedication to quality education, Vedanta Aluminium has equipped over 4,000 students from 50+ schools in the remote districts of Rayagada, Kalahandi, and Jharsuguda with school kits, empowering students in areas around the Kuraloi and Sijimali mines.
The school kits provided to students include all necessary educational supplies, such as a school bag, water bottle, notebook, geometry box, and other stationery, addressing students’ educational requirements effectively.
Janmejaya Sabar, Headmaster of Kathaghara High School, shared his thoughts, stating, “Vedanta Aluminium’s provision of study kits is greatly appreciated. For many of our students, a lack of resources has been an obstacle to learning. These kits will make a tremendous difference in helping them continue their educational journey.”
Several villages situated in the periphery of Vedanta’s Kuraloi coal mine area received school kits. These included Kudaloi (Kudaloi GP), Piplimal, Liakhai, Ujalpur, Ulap (Piplimal GP), Banjari, Grindola, Chaurimahul, Bartap (Banjari GP), and Ward No. 17 in Belpahar Municipality.
