Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran said the company is focusing on efficiency, cost management, and new technology to stay strong despite global challenges. Speaking at the 186th birth anniversary of Tata Steel founder J N Tata, he said Tata Steel must be ready for the future by improving productivity and making smart investments, including in Jamshedpur.
He also said that government support, good policies, and teamwork with employees and unions are important for growth. Instead of worrying about prices and tariffs, he stressed the need to focus on increasing productivity.
Chandrasekaran also talked about the importance of semiconductors, which are used in industries like electronics, healthcare, defence, and aerospace. To make India more self-reliant in this field, the Tata Group is setting up semiconductor plants in Assam and Gujarat.
Along with Tata Steel CEO T V Narendran and Executive Director Koushik Chatterjee, Chandrasekaran paid tribute to J N Tata and reaffirmed Tata Group’s commitment to innovation and progress.
