Bhubaneswar, Odisha; May 26th, 2025 – Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, organised a mega health camp at Mundherkhet Gram Panchayat Office in Hemgir block, Sundargarh district, reaching out to more than 200 beneficiaries. The initiative was undertaken by Vedanta as part of its continued efforts to strengthen healthcare access for rural communities in the region covering Mundherkhet, Jharpalam, Garjanjore, and nearby Gram Panchayats (GP). The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Chinmay Kumar Mishra, Assistant Executive Engineer, Hemgir, in the presence of Mr. Sanyasi Bag, Sarpanch, Munderkhet GP, Hemgir.
Bringing quality healthcare to remote regions, the camp offered an array of free services, including specialized consultations and check-ups covering orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, dermatology, ENT, chest and tuberculosis care along with the distribution of medicines free of cost. Additionally, awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention were conducted to promote preventive healthcare and improve long-term community well-being.
