Bhubaneswar, June 11: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s biggest aluminium producer, is changing how aluminium is traded in India through its digital platform, Vedanta Metal Bazaar. This platform makes it easier for small businesses (MSMEs) to buy aluminium products and get financial support.
Vedanta Metal Bazaar offers over 750 types of aluminium products like ingots, billets, wires, and rolled products. It connects small businesses and manufacturers with banks and finance companies, helping them get loans easily and grow their businesses. Today, more than 60% of Vedanta’s customers are MSMEs.
The platform uses digital tools to make the loan process simple and fast. Businesses can apply for loans with less paperwork, get quick approval, and track invoices in real-time. With support from the Central Bank of India, MSMEs can get loans from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 10 crore, with low interest rates and easy repayment terms. Borrowers get 90 days to repay the loan, with an extra 15-day grace period if needed.
Vedanta Aluminium CEO Rajiv Kumar said, “Vedanta Metal Bazaar not only helps businesses buy aluminium easily but also gives them financial support to grow. This will help build a strong and self-reliant aluminium industry in India, create jobs, and support the country’s industrial growth.”
The platform also uses AI to keep prices stable even when market rates change. Vedanta Metal Bazaar can be accessed through its website or mobile app, available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
