Lanjigarh, Kalahandi; 20th June 2025: Vedanta Lanjigarh, India’s leading producer of smelter-grade alumina and a part of Vedanta Aluminium, recently hosted a unique scrap art sculpture competition to turn industrial scrap and workplace waste into awe-inspiring works of art. This vibrant celebration of innovation, sustainability, and teamwork in the aluminium industry brought together dynamic teams comprising employees and business partners, each led by departmental heads, in a spirited showcase of imagination, collaboration, and eco-conscious creativity.

The teams transformed everyday waste materials into striking sculptures to enhance the workplace environment. Each creation reflected a strong commitment to Vedanta’s core values of resource optimization, creative thinking, and corporate sustainability.

Pranab Bhattacharya, CEO – Vedanta Alumina Business, Lanjigarh, shared: “At Vedanta, we believe that true innovation thrives when our people are empowered to think differently. This initiative united our teams and sparked a culture of imaginative problem-solving and sustainable thinking. We are proud to nurture a workplace where creativity is celebrated, and everyone is free to contribute in unique, impactful ways.”

It wasn’t just an art competition—it brought teams from different departments together to collaborate and spark meaningful conversations about turning industrial waste into valuable resources. Through this waste-to-wealth initiative, Vedanta Aluminium is steadily building a workplace that’s innovative, sustainable, and future-ready, staying true to its commitment to environmental responsibility, circular economy principles, and green manufacturing practices.
