Sundargarh, 26.07.2025: Vedanta Aluminium has joined hands with the Prime Minister’s ‘Nikshay Mitra’ program to support TB patients in Balishankara block of Sundargarh. In this effort, they are helping 63 patients by giving them monthly nutrition kits for a whole year.
This project is part of the TB-Free India Campaign, and it was launched with help from the Sundargarh district administration. At the launch event, Dr. Suresh Chandra Mohanty, local health officers, ASHA workers, and other guests were present to show their support.
Vedanta’s CEO, Rajiv Kumar, said the company is proud to help fight TB. He mentioned that nutrition is key for recovery and that they’ve already supported over 550 patients in other parts of Odisha. Now, they are happy to bring this help to Sundargarh too.
Dr. Mohanty appreciated the support, saying that people in remote areas often struggle to get proper care. Vedanta’s help, he said, will improve treatment and support the government’s mission.
Apart from health, Vedanta also works to improve education, create jobs, and support local sports and culture. They aim to help villages grow and become stronger together.
