Kaniha, 24/12/2024: The 14th anniversary of Deepsikha Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir in Kaniha block was celebrated, organised by NTPC. NTPC General Manager, Satyaram Krishna, addressed the crowd, encouraging students and parents to follow the moral and spiritual teachings of the school to shape their future.
Mrs. C.V.I. Anuradha, Head of Human Resources at NTPC, and Navneet Kumar, along with several senior officials from NTPC, graced the event. The keynote speaker, Hemant Kumar Dhar, a retired head teacher and former co-inspector of the Education Development Board of Odisha, spoke passionately about the essential role of mothers in shaping the future generations of the nation and urging them to stay actively involved in their children’s development. In his speech, Mr. Dhar encouraged the children to carry the spirit of Indianness in their actions to help build the nation.
The event was chaired by Gobind Chandra Sahu, President of the School Management Committee, while Editor Vishwanath had the honor of introducing the chief guests.
The central theme of the celebration revolved around education and the overall development of children. Principal Sushant Kumar Tripathi shared the school’s annual work plan, supported by a dedicated team of 10 school management committee members, 20 Matru Bharati members, and 23 teachers from Guruji, Guru Maa, and Shishu Bharati. The event also showcased the success of 23 students who excelled in Scholarships at both national and provincial levels. Cultural performances were based on the theme “When culture survives, so too does the nation”. 569 students from primary to 10th grade were present. The Headmaster thanked NTPC and the staff for their contribution to the success of the event.
