Mumbai, 16/04/2025: Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) sold much more electricity in the financial year 2024–25 (FY25) compared to the previous year. The company sold 27,969 million units (MUs) of energy, which is a big jump from 21,878 MUs in FY24. Most of this growth came from solar power, which alone made up 16,738 MUs, up from 11,046 MUs last year. Wind energy sales also went up to 3,834 MUs from 3,188 MUs.
This increase in energy sales was possible because AGEL added more power plants. The company’s total operational capacity grew by 30% to 14,243 megawatts (MW) in FY25, up from 10,934 MW in FY24. AGEL also said that an extra 1,000 MW of capacity is almost ready, which will take the total to over 15,000 MW soon.
Solar power made up the largest share, with capacity rising to 10,103 MW from 7,393 MW. Wind capacity increased to 2,000 MW from 1,401 MW, while hybrid projects stayed the same at 2,140 MW. This shows AGEL’s strong growth in clean energy and its focus on helping India move toward greener power.
