AGEL continues to be a leading force in India’s clean energy transition. It develops, owns, and operates utility-scale, grid-connected solar, wind, and hybrid renewable power plants. A landmark 30 GW renewable energy project is under development at Khavda in Gujarat, covering 538 sq km. This project aims to set a global benchmark for ultra-large-scale renewable energy plants.
In a notable achievement, AGEL operationalized the first 2 GW of solar capacity within 12 months of groundbreaking in 2023-24. Over the last six months, AGEL added 250 MW of wind capacity despite challenging monsoon conditions, paving the way for substantial capacity additions in the latter half of the financial year.
Currently, AGEL boasts an operating renewable portfolio of 11.2 GW across 12 states, the largest in India. The company is ambitiously targeting 50 GW by 2030, aligning with India’s decarbonization goals.
