The Anil Agarwal Foundation (AAF) has joined hands with the Rayagada district administration in Odisha to launch a transformative initiative aimed at community empowerment. Through this partnership, 100 Anganwadi centers will be modernized into “Nand Ghars,” not just enhancing early childhood care but also providing holistic support for women’s development.
The initiative goes beyond infrastructure upgrades, aiming to create self-sustaining community hubs. These centers will provide early education, healthcare, nutrition, and skill development programs, equipping women with tools for economic independence. At the agreement signing ceremony, key officials, including Rayagada Collector Ms. Parul Patawari and District Social Welfare Officer Smt. Minati Deo, emphasized how the project would uplift the entire community by fostering long-term social and economic growth.
Vedanta Aluminium CEO Sunil Gupta highlighted the company’s commitment to driving lasting change through the Nand Ghar initiative. With over 500 such centers already operational in Odisha, the project is playing a crucial role in breaking the cycle of poverty and ensuring a better future for the next generation. The latest expansion in Rayagada is set to accelerate this mission, paving the way for a more resilient and self-reliant community.
