Bhubaneswar, Feb 26: The Odisha Higher Education Department has announced the commencement of admission process for Postgraduate (PG) courses for the academic session 2026–27. The decision is intended to ensure timely completion of the admission process and smooth commencement of classes across the State. The interested students with valid degrees who are seeking admission into various Postgraduate programmes will be required to appear for the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET).
Eligible candidates can fill up the Common Application Form (CAF) through the SAMS (Student Academic Management System) portal from 27th February to 15th March 2026. The CPET examinations for different PG subjects will be conducted from 27th April to 10th May 2026. Admissions into PG courses will be made strictly on the basis of marks secured in the CPET.
The Higher Education Department has set a target to commence PG classes across all Universities and Colleges in the State by 10th July 2026. This initiative will facilitate the timely completion of the academic curriculum, conduct of examinations and declaration of results, thereby benefiting students across Odisha.
