Bhubaneswar, 23/01/2025: Odisha is getting ready for the Utkarsh Odisha 2025 Conclave, with a focus on creating jobs and supporting small businesses. As part of this effort, the state government has approved 17 industrial projects worth Rs 3,883.72 crore in the 134th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting, led by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja on Wednesday.
These projects cover 15 important sectors, including renewable energy, petrochemicals, green hydrogen, pharmaceuticals, and tourism. Together, they are expected to create over 12,280 jobs and will be spread across eight districts in the state.
This year’s Utkarsh Odisha Conclave will be different from past events, focusing more on real results. The state aims to highlight sectors that create jobs and support small and medium businesses (SMEs). The event will also focus on new areas like renewable energy equipment and petrochemical industries.
During the Conclave, two small businesses from each district will be recognized for their contributions to local growth.
In addition, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) National Council will meet on 27 January with around 200 members. Odisha has invited hundreds of Fortune 500 companies to the event, hoping to attract more global investments to the state.
With a focus on job creation, local business growth, and innovation, Utkarsh Odisha 2025 aims to make Odisha a leader in sustainable and inclusive industrial development.
