Jharsuguda, 25/12/2024: On Global Hand washing Day 2024, Vedanta Aluminium hosted an awareness campaign in Jharsuguda, focusing on the theme ” Why are clean hands still important” . The campaign reached 28 villages, promoting the importance of hand hygiene and other key practices for community health improvement.
The campaign included interactive sessions that emphasised proper hand washing techniques, personal cleanliness, clean surrounding and safe food handling. With over 3,000 participants, the campaign provided practical demonstrations and opportunity to engage with health experts on preventing diseases through simple actions.
Sunil Gupta, Vedanta Aluminium’s COO, commented, “At Vedanta Aluminium, we believe in driving change through small but impactful actions. This campaign is a testament to our commitment to promoting health and hygiene in the communities we engage with.”
Participant Bhavani Buda, honoured with a health kit for her participation, noted, “The lessons on hygiene have been extremely valuable. Simple practices can bring significant improvements to the health of our families and our community.”
