Rajib Sekhar Sahoo, a distinguished financial expert and chartered accountant, has been named the Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Odisha State Council.
Rajib Sahoo, the principal partner at SRB & Associates, a leading chartered accountancy firm in India, has extensive experience in the banking and financial sectors. Renowned for his expertise in the industry, business, and corporate sectors, Sahoo is expected to bring valuable insights and proficiency to the ICC, as noted by an industry observer.
Currently, he serves as an independent director at Indraprastha Gas Limited, SICOM Limited, and Kalinga Hospitals Limited, and as a director at Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. (OSCSC Ltd). Sahoo is also an active member of several key committees and organizations, including the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPF), Laxmanrao Inamdar National Academy for Cooperative Research Development (NCDC), and the Company Law Standing Committee.
Additionally, he is an independent trustee of the Odisha Urban Infrastructure Development Fund (OUIDF) and serves on the Fee Structure Committee for Professional Educational Institutions of Odisha, as appointed by the Supreme Court of India. Sahoo’s past roles include trustee at Paradip Port Trust, director at Andhra Bank, and several prominent positions in major organizations like NTPC Limited, Hindustan Zinc Limited, and Bank of Baroda.
Sahoo’s extensive background also features contributions as a co-opted member of the Committee on Banking, Insurance, and Pension of ICAI for the Council Year 2014-15. He was the president of the Bhubaneswar Chapter of The Indus Entrepreneur (TIE), headquartered in Silicon Valley, USA.
His appointment as Chairman of the ICC Odisha State Council is anticipated to significantly benefit both the organization and the state, which is poised for substantial investments. Sahoo has been a key advisor to government organizations on economic development and has been instrumental in scaling up corporate social responsibility activities across Odisha and the nation.
