Tata Power and Odisha discoms have launched the ‘Nua Arambh’ campaign to help women return to work after a career break. This program gives them a chance to restart their professional journey and use their skills in the energy sector.
Since its launch, the campaign has received a great response, showing strong support for women in the workplace. On International Women’s Day, March 8, 2025, a group of talented women officially joined Discom through this initiative. They were selected through a careful screening process and welcomed in a special event. Usha Padhi, Principal Secretary of Housing, Urban Development, Commerce, and Transport in Odisha, attended as the chief guest.
During the event, Ms. Padhi praised the program and encouraged women to take on important roles in the workforce. The newly hired women received induction kits to help them start their new jobs.
This program is part of Tata Power’s efforts to create equal job opportunities and support women in building successful careers.
Following proper hiring policies, four tea factories in Odisha are also recruiting workers to improve job opportunities.
