Bhubaneswar, 23/12/2024: Tata Steel’s Ferro Alloy Plate (FAP) plants and mining units have been recognised at the National Safety Conference hosted by the Institute of Environmental and Environmental Management Services (IQRMS) in 2024. FAP Athagarh and FAP Jajpur were honoured in the Platinum category, while FAP Brahmanipal and FAP Jajpur secured the Gold category award, celebrating their exemplary safety standards in 2023.
Tata Steel’s Jodawest Iron and Manganese Mine and Saruabil Chromite Mine in Odisha were also recognised with Platinum category awards for their high safety and management standards. The awards were presented by Deputy Prime Minister Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo and the High Commissioner of Lesotho, Mrs. Lebohang Valentine Mochaba.
On behalf of Tata Steel, the award was received by Thakur Ajay Kumar Biswambharnath (Chief of Security, Mines), Kishore Baran Maiti (Chief Security, FAP & Stainless Steel Plant), Sarbeswar Naik (FAP Athagarh Chief), Jagdish Padhi (Area Manager Safety, Jajpur & Bishnupur), Saptarshi (Area Manager, Jodawest Iron & Manganese Mines), Ankit Sharma (Senior Manager, Quarry Safety), and Niran Kumar (Sr. Area Manager, Saruabil Chromite Mines).
