Sundargarh, 26/05/2025: In a significant boost to rural healthcare, Vedanta Aluminium organised a large-scale health camp at the Mundherkhet Gram Panchayat Office in Hemgir block, Sundargarh. The camp catered to over 200 individuals from Mundherkhet, Jharpalam, Garjanjore, and nearby villages—bringing essential medical services directly to their doorstep.
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Chinmay Kumar Mishra, Assistant Executive Engineer of Hemgir, alongside Mr. Sanyasi Bag, Sarpanch of Munderkhet GP. The camp offered a range of free medical services including orthopaedics, gynaecology, paediatrics, dermatology, ENT, and TB care, along with free medicine distribution. Vedanta also hosted awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention to support long-term community health.
Sunil Gupta, COO of Vedanta Aluminium, shared, “We believe healthcare should be a right, not a privilege. Through our sustained efforts and collaboration with local authorities, we aim to uplift the quality of life in rural areas.”
Expressing his gratitude, Sarpanch Sanyasi Bag remarked, “This initiative was a blessing for our community, especially for those who often struggle to access medical care. We deeply appreciate Vedanta’s timely support.”
