Bhubaneswar, Odisha; June 28, 2025: During the holy festival of Rath Yatra 2025, Vedanta Aluminium is showing its love for Odisha’s culture by supporting both traditional art and the needs of devotees. The company is actively taking part in the celebrations by helping people and promoting local traditions.
As part of the festival, Vedanta supported a beautiful sand sculpture of Lord Jagannath at Puri Beach. The sculpture, made by famous sand artist Manas Kumar Sahoo, is 15 feet long and made with 10 tonnes of sand. Decorated with colours and flowers, it has become a major attraction for visitors. Well-known sculptor Padma Shri Pravakar Maharana also praised this artwork.
Along with the art, Vedanta is helping thousands of devotees by offering free hot meals through ArnnaChatra-Bhandara, clean drinking water, and breakfast. The company will also organize a peaceful Bhajan Sandhya (devotional music program) and serve Mahaprasad and Nirmalya Prasad as part of the celebrations.
“Rath Yatra is a time of faith and unity. At Vedanta, we feel proud to support such a meaningful festival,” said Rajiv Kumar, CEO of Vedanta Aluminium.
Apart from the festival, Vedanta continues to support people in Odisha by working in areas like education, healthcare, clean drinking water, jobs, and village development. The company’s efforts have reached over 6.5 lakh people in 67 villages across the state.
With these steps, Vedanta Aluminium is not just celebrating a festival but also showing how a company can care for people, culture, and tradition.
