Jharsuguda, 08/04/2025: Vedanta Aluminium celebrated Utkal Divas at its Jharsuguda plant to honor the culture and spirit of Odisha. Employees, their families, and people from nearby areas joined the event with great excitement and pride.
Two special guests were honored at the event — Padma Shri award winner and para-badminton champion Pramod Bhagat, and Dr. Nruparaj Sahu, the Registrar of Sambalpur University. The company’s top leaders gave them awards for their outstanding work and achievements.
The program included beautiful Odia songs by singers Sashank Shekhar and Navya Jaiti, and visitors enjoyed traditional Odia food. There were also fun and creative activities like rangoli, painting, and local food preparation, showing Odisha’s colorful traditions.
Vedanta Aluminium’s COO Sunil Gupta said, “Utkal Divas is a time to celebrate Odisha’s strong culture and people. We are proud to be a part of this land and want to grow together with the community.” The event ended with prize distribution and lively cultural performances.
