Bhubaneswar, Odisha; June 26, 2025: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, unveiled a grand sand sculpture of Lord Shree Jagannath at Puri International Beach as part of the Rath Yatra 2025 celebrations.
The majestic artwork has been crafted by renowned sand artist Shri Manas Kumar Sahoo, whose creations have earned him global recognition. Spanning 15 feet in length and 6 feet in height, the sculpture was made over two days using 10 tonnes of sand. Adorned with vibrant colours and a delicate garland of flowers, it beautifully portrays Lord Jagannath bestowing blessings upon devotees. The sculpture has become a centre of attraction for pilgrims and tourists alike.
The masterpiece was praised by Padma Shri Pravakar Maharana, a celebrated sculptor and heritage conservationist from Konark, further cementing its cultural significance.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajiv Kumar, CEO, Vedanta Aluminium, said: “Rath Yatra is not just a festival; it is a celebration of faith, community, and the timeless bond between Lord Jagannath and his devotees.
