Bhubaneswar, 26/05/2025: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest aluminium producer, recently hosted a mega health camp at the Mundherkhet Gram Panchayat Office in Hemgir block, Sundargarh district. Over 200 residents from Mundherkhet, Jharpalam, Garjanjore, and nearby areas benefitted from the initiative, which aimed to improve healthcare access in remote regions.
The camp, inaugurated by Mr. Chinmay Kumar Mishra, Assistant Executive Engineer, Hemgir, and attended by Mr. Sanyasi Bag, Sarpanch of Munderkhet GP, offered free consultations across multiple specialities—orthopaedics, gynaecology, paediatrics, dermatology, ENT, and chest & TB care. Free medicines were distributed, and awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention were also held.
Sunil Gupta, COO of Vedanta Aluminium, highlighted the company’s commitment to rural health, stating, “We aim to make quality healthcare more accessible through such initiatives, creating lasting impact in the communities we serve.”
Sarpanch Sanyasi Bag thanked Vedanta, noting, “This camp brought essential medical services to our doorstep, especially helping the elderly and women.”
