Sijimali (Rayagada, Odisha), December 13, 2024: Vedanta Aluminium reaffirmed its commitment to education by distributing school kits to over 4,000 students across 50+ schools near its Kuraloi and Sijimali mines in the tribal-rich regions of Rayagada, Kalahandi, and Jharsuguda districts.
Vedanta Aluminium’s initiative to distribute study kits to rural students is making a positive impact on their educational journey by providing essential supplies like notebooks, geometry boxes, and school bags.

The school kits were distributed to various villages located within the periphery of Vedanta’s Kuraloi coal mine area. Notable villages include Kudaloi in Kudaloi GP, Piplimal, Liakhai, Ujalpur, and Ulap in Piplimal GP, Banjari, Grindola, Chaurimahul, and Bartap in Banjari GP, as well as Ward No. 17 within Belpahar Municipality limits.
Supporting education in the periphery of Vedanta’s Sijimali coal mine area, school kits were given to students of prominent schools like Naknudi, Govt Primary School Mohangiri, Govt PS Kathaghora, and Govt UPS Gunpur in Rayagada and Kalahandi districts.
The provision of vital study materials by Vedanta Aluminium has not only equipped students for success but also led to a noticeable rise in school attendance, benefiting both learners and educational institutions.
