Jharsuguda, 19/06/2025: To empower youth through sports, a two-day Grappling Training Camp was recently held at the Vedanta Martial Arts Training Centre in Jharsuguda. Under the guidance of Arko Dasgupta, Technical Director of the Grappling Committee of India, more than 50 youngsters participated in the camp, learning essential grappling techniques.
The camp wasn’t just about martial arts – it was about building discipline, mental focus, and physical strength among local youth. The participants learned, how sports can shape confidence and resilience, vital qualities for personal growth.
Opened earlier this year, the training centre has already enrolled over 100 students, and offers coaching in karate, judo, and now grappling. The centre is becoming a hub for channeling youthful energy into positive, goal- driven pursuits, giving rural and small town youth exposure to professional sports.
One of the participants Riya Das, shared her experience that the camp helped them grow confidence and dream bigger. The event ended with a lively valedictory session where Vedanta officials praised the efforts of the budding martial artists and awarded them with certifications for their participation.
