Waaree Energies announced the commencement of trial production at its subsidiary, Waaree Solar Americas Inc., located in Brookshire, Texas. The initial phase features a 1.6 GW solar module manufacturing capacity, with plans to increase this to 3 GW.
As the first Indian renewable energy company to establish a photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing facility in the US, Waaree Energies marks a significant milestone.
Sunil Rathi, President of Waaree Solar Americas Inc., noted, “This achievement sets the stage for our ambitious expansion in the US, highlighting our commitment to developing a robust domestic supply chain, bolstering energy security in the US, and enhancing the India-US trade and energy relationship.”
